JDOG was registered on August 14th, 2014, just a few hours after the Dogeparty platform went live and the Dogeparty BURN started where Dogecoin (DOGE) holders could provably destroy DOGE and obtain the native currency XDP which could be used to register dogeparty asset names.

The JSON was added to the JDOG token on September 15th, 2014 and was the first token to have an image associated with it. J-Dog wanted to secure his own username on the Dogeparty platform and so he registered the JDOG token as one of his very first tokens to ensure that his username would forever be marked in history on the Dogecoin blockchain.

The photo of J-Dog was taken on November 8th, 2006 on a trip to Maui, Hawaii with his girlfriend Kimberley and her parents. The photo is of J-Dog sitting in a Costco parking lot waiting for the parents (future in-laws) to finish shopping.

The JDOG token has remained in its original unchanged state until November 9th, 2024 when the token supply divisibility was changed from divisible to non-divisible and supply changed from 1.00000000 to 1.
