Dogeparty Services

The Dogeparty platform was launched in 2014, but unfortunately the platform stopped operating in 2016 and went dormant for 5 years. The Dogeparty platform was rebooted in 2021 and has been operating ever since!

Dogeparty Assets was a service that was started in 2014 by CryptoNow, LLC to provide simple, easy-to-use tools for Dogeparty users. The goal of Dogeparty Assets was to help users obtain, use, market, and better understand Dogeparty assets and the Dogeparty platform.

The Dogeparty Assets services shut down shortly after the Dogeparty platform ceased operations in 2016, at which point it became CoinDaddy owned by CoinDaddy, LLC, offering similar services to Counterparty.

Dogepartyasset.info was a companion site to Dogeparty Assets which handled serving out JSON files created by Dogeparty users in order to associate additional information like images, websites, and descriptions with their Dogeparty assets.

The dogepartyasset.info site is kept up for historical purposes to keep serving out the JSON files.

Ancient Relics

When the Dogeparty platform was launched on August 13th, 2014, J-Dog was traveling to South Carolina to visit some family, so he was a few hours late to the platform launch. Once he arrived in South Carolina, he immediately opened his laptop, burned 500k DOGE and got busy manually registering thousands of asset names through dogewallet as fast as he could.

Over the next month J-Dog quickly built the first Dogeparty block explorer (dogepartychain.io) to allow users to see exactly what dogeparty assets were being registered and traded on the network, and view the data associated with each token. He then focused on building the “Dogeparty Assets” website and services to allow Dogeparty asset owners to enhance their assets with additional information by linking the token to a JSON file that contained more data on the token, including images, icons, description, and website.

The DogepartyAssets.com website was the early prototype for Coindaddy.io, which offered similar services. The Dogepartychain.io website was the early prototype for the XChain.io block explorer (now named tokenscan.io)

The Ancient Relics tokens were all tokens that were registered in 2014 and 2015 and were used for experimentation of what exactly could be done with these new token systems. By building services to allow J-Dog and other users to experiement with what was possible with these new tokens, many people had fun pushing the limits of technology at the time, and helped shape the future use cases for tokens.
