Relic History
BACONLOVER was created by J-Dog on August 19, 2014. It is a divisible token with a total supply of just 1, deployed at Dogecoin block 343,458—placing it among the earliest Dogeparty assets to explore on-chain imagery and thematic storytelling. Its artwork reflects J-Dog’s love for bacon, using an image he found on the Church of Bacon website (unitedchurchofbacon.org).
A few months later, J-Dog launched CoinDaddy and added BACONLOVER—along with many of my other registered assets—to the coindaddy.io platform.
The token remained untouched in one of J-Dog’s addresses until January 2022, when Mata (x.com/matanaurus) acquired both the token and its asset ownership for $500 worth of BTC. Upon taking control, Mata preserved the original supply of 1.00000000, locked the token, and sent 10% (0.10000000) back to Jdog as a gesture of appreciation. He then transferred asset ownership to the Dogeparty burn address (DDogepartyxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxw1dfzr), ensuring the token’s description—linked to the original image—would remain permanently unchanged and preventing the issuance of any BACONLOVER subassets.
BACONLOVER can be traded natively on Dogeparty and also within the Emblem Vault Legacy Collection. As an ERC-721 token, it enjoys cross-chain visibility while retaining its Dogeparty origins, making it accessible in Ethereum-compatible environments. Though untouched since its creation, BACONLOVER stands as a quiet yet evocative tribute to the early fusion of digital art, bacon enthusiasm, and decentralized technology—a nostalgic concept immortalized in code.
